Shogun has been shut down by the health inspector for 60 demerits, which is apparently a record high. I now know why I almost always had to run to the bathroom after eating here. Too bad, still love this place... Glad I never got really bad food poisoning... RIP.
I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing. I moved to Austin a couple of years ago, and I tried every Japanese style steak house there, and none of them compared to the wonderful flavors Shogun has. The only thing that could possibly take away a star is that the carpet and restaurant is not always the cleanest. My thinking though, is that when they bring the food out and cook it in front of you, what could really go wrong. You're watching how your food is prepared, so you know what goes into it. The food is AMAZING!
